Sketch Baaz was a story ideated by a professor of mine - Upendra Yadav while I was a student at Arena Animation. I worked on the storyboarding, on-hands direction, cinematography and editing on the video. On-location shooting and managing the lighting was amazing fun. Having shot indoors before, this was a new experience.
Initial ideas were to keep the edit mixed with video and stop motion, however we decided to go with stop motion for the full edit. The video was made as part of an exhibition at Arena Animation, Gurgaon and was received with a standing ovation, my first one!
Special help in direction was by Nitesh Kalsaria. The actors were - Arpit Sidana, Nitesh Kalsaria, Vedika Agarwal, Shubham. Artwork was done by - Simran Grewal, Vedika Agarwal, Nitesh Kalsaria
