VR Telecom, a b2b telecommunications provider to major telecom companies launched an offering directly to consumers. Utilizing their ownership and management of the systems we use to communicate online, they wished to enter the market with a messaging and calling application. To that end, we at the Empty Crate company were contracted to build the user interface of their newest product.

My research into the market led me to the conclusion that their primary consumer would be a person who travels often for work or business or college students traveling internationally for studies. Hence the application, which as per their requirements would be a pre-requisite to using their network, was made as a simple messaging application with splashes of color and a playful design for the iconography. All the basic features like calling, messaging, group chats etc were pre-built into the design. The website on the other hand showcased the marketing material on the product and immediately invited visitors to add money to their balance.

With the help of Saket Sharma and Mohammad Ammad, two skilled UI designers, and with our extensive research into their desired consumer, we built a beautiful application that the users could get started with as soon as they download it, and a website that showcases all the important literature of the product and invites visitors to put money into their wallets and get started with the product.
