The 3D space has come to life recently. CGI has always been used in Film and TV, however, with the advent of better technology and powerful processors and graphics, the 3d space has been revolutionised.
In a bid to expand my tool set, and have more fun with spaces in my projects, I have been working hard in 3D. Below are a few samples from my 3D experience thus far.

This was a 3D Interior that I worked on. This was a class test (one of the first ones) to build a 3D model from a 2d Image.

The above image and video was created from scratch to showcase the kind of stalls that can be used in conventions.
The above image was created as part of a class project to build a video game-like 3D scene.

Above is a stage I built from the reference. Tried to give this one a true stage feel with the lighting
In each one of the above projects, I faced a lot of challenges and questions regarding the lighting, texturing, keyframe animations, and the journey from reference to final product that not only helped me improve my 3D work, but also helped improve my 2D work in a significant way.
The next challenge was a pack shot. All the work below is a work in progress of basic modelling, texturing and animation. The effects and final compositing is still underway.

More is definitely still to come. The options opened by 3D in design are truly vast and something that every designer should explore
